Yvonne Andrews started making her extraordinary Bebbin Bears in 2001 and since then she has gone on to win awards and astound and delight the most discerning collectors. A self-proclaimed perfectionist who spends hours working on each bear until she is satisfied with it, Yvonne usually makes just one bear a week because they are so time-consuming to create.

Florentine Florentine, 16 inches, is an exquisitely pretty girl bear similar in style to Flora Belle, Yvonne’s recent TOBY Industry Award winning creation. She is made from a soft stone dense alpaca, with pale pink mohair inserts to her inner ears, wrists and legs. Other features include black glass eyes, a pale pink hand embroidered nose and 100% wool felt hand embroidered foot/pawpads.   Yvonne made Florentine’s pretty collar with 100% wool felt, and pretty delicate multi yarn in soft colours. She embellished it with hand painted and beaded felt flowers and a little free-form embroidery. Whisper Whisper, 13 inches tall, is a close relation of Mullion and Poldhu who recently found new homes. While there is an undeniable family resemblance, he is smaller than his cousins, has a slightly longer muzzle, and a V insert to his chest. . This lovely boy is made from a beautiful dense wavy Schulte mohair - which has a delicate soft blue tip - and a dense ivory alpaca. Other features include black glass eyes, a pale grey, hand embroidered nose, hand embroidered, 100% wool felt paw/footpads which are slightly shaded and a hand worked little collar embellished with silver bells. He is nicely weighted thanks to his filling of poly fibre, steel shot and glass beads.   Price: £SOLD
