Lynne Farmer of Jack & Lilia has been creating bears for about 13 years but for some bizarre reason I have only just stumbled across her work. However, now that I have found I hope to make up for a late start by getting to know Lynne and her bears really well! She makes one of a kind bears (and the occasional other animal) in a variety of style but it was her adorable Japanese anime-style creations that caught my eye. They are fresh, fun and a little bit funky – not to mention extremely well made which is a must for any artist bear on Edwina’s Friends. All are created from mohair or cashmere, are hand stitched and have glass eyes and are weighted with steel shot. To accessorise them she uses vintage buttons, lace, fabrics and so on, and some are gently aged to give a vintage look. I hope you love Jack & Lilia bears as much as I do!
